Ready for the 4th

Once again I am getting ahead of myself. I have at least a half dozen Pocket Letters to create for swaps. The last of them being a Patriotic one. But here I am almost finished with it. Why? Well for one I have a LOT of red, white, and blue. Plus while I was looking at my beach themed paper pack the red and white striped paper just jumped out at me. So I ran with it.

Patriotic PL filled with goodies

Simple back.

I like how the back looks just as it is. My letter is a little book in the blue pocket. I have noticed that these books have almost become a trademark of my pocket exchanges. Now maybe I can work on the beach, vacation and feminine ones.

Gnome PC

I made this PC with the help of Monet. Actually two Monet greeting cards.

I think they are just so cute, in their Spring blue shirts.

Cuppa Joe

I must say this was one of the most challenging PL I have made so far. It just wouldn't come out like I wanted it to. I did dye some craft paper with coffee and that makes the whole pocket carry a lovely aroma (if you like coffee) but beyond that it is sort of a hit and miss thing. I do hope my partner enjoys it.

There is a card of Washi tap hidden in 3. 7 and 9 are mug mats. I do hope they will lie flat once again.

Another Pocket Letter™ sent away

I seem to get a lot of Netherlanders as partners. The average postage for sending a Pocket Letter there is around $5.10. It might be because I tend to over stuff. Sometimes I have to do some fast talking to get the postmen to accept them as letters and not packages. I even have resorted to carrying an incomplete one (minus some of the goodies) to show them just what is inside my bulging envelope. Anything to save on postage.

This was a fun one to do. We had a list of certain things to include. In pocket 1 is a letter made in a little book form of onion skin and textured wall paper. Something shiny in pocket 2 is thin metal first cut to size then embossed. Something unexpected turned out to be a little sewing kit from Hancock Fabrics that fit perfectly into pocket 3. Pocket 4 holds another little book made of scrapbook papers as something to write on. In 5 an Origami paper envelope awaits tea, (to be filled in when I know what type my partner likes). To hold Washi samples in 6, I made a 2½ x 3½ card from upcycled clear acrylic packaging. The Washi does not stick to it like it would paper. 7 has a simple folio from grass cloth and 8 is a 7" piece of ribbon folded in half. The last requirement was something soft so I included a printed felt folio in pocket 9.

Swap-bot is back in business

Not sure what was happening but Swap-bot is back up. In the meantime I was working on a couple more of my Pocket Letters™ for future swaps.

Black and White swap (they did allow gold and silver embellishments).
*I had left the center for tea or coffee but my partner liked neither so I found some cute mason jar stickers with gold and silver lids.

Yellow  swap
Neither is finished. I will do that once I have a partner assigned and I can read her profile likes and dislikes. I was rather amazed at how many yellow things I have stashed about. *Before this one went out the door I added stamped sayings to many of the folios since my partner likes stamped images.

* indicates changes made after photo but before mailing.

Locked out of Swap-bot

Swap-bot has spurred so much creativity in my life lately. But today when I went to sign in it would not load. I cannot get past the log in page, not even to contact Admin to tell them about my problem.

Even though I rebooted ever device I use, I am still locked out and therefore panicking. I really hate this sort of standing outside looking in thing.

I wonder if the site has been hacked or if it is just me.

Everything else seems to be working fine.

New journal/album

I made a new journal/album for a swap. I just cannot resist putting a few pics here.

Just the front, middle and back.
